Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb said that he found it absurd that people thought he did not know the playbook and offense, in his weekly appearance on ESPN980 in Washington, D.C.
“That is hilarious to me. That is really funny to me,” McNabb said. “For everyone who may not have heard any of this, it’s probably a shock to them.”
McNabb was benched at the end of Washington’s Week 8 loss to the Lions. Head coach Mike Shanahan said that the benching was due to a lack of conditioning and lingering hamstring issues.
“It’s over to me, and I just look to move on,” McNabb said in trying to downplay the situation.
