Robert Griffin III agreed with the Redskins to a four-year contract worth $21.1 million on Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.

Griffin is expected to attend rookie camp on Wednesday after agreeing to the deal, which includes an option for the fifth year, his agent, Ben Dogra, told the AP.

The 22-year-old, who was named the starter by coach Mike Shanahan following rookie minicamp in May, missed the first two days of rookie camp.

The Heisman Trophy winner threw for 37 touchdowns and 4,293 yards with Baylor in 2011. Through four years of college football, Griffin threw for a total of 10,366 yards, 78 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. His career quarterback rating was 158.9.

Washington traded its first-round picks in 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as its 2012 second-round pick to the Rams to draft Griffin second overall.
